Disk full error

I'm getting the disk full error when attempting to start a mission. I get it in both windowed and full screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled via Steam.

What else can I do to fix this issue? The drive it's installed on has over 1 TB left from 1.5 TB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love the Close Combat series and to see a version on Steam was almost a dream come true.

Hi Paulie771,

I've heard of this error occurring if you have a corrupted map file -- the corrupted map fails to update when the game is getting ready to start a battle, and the error is assumed to be because there is no more disk space to copy it.

Usually reinstalling will fix this. It is possible the corrupted files are not being deleted though.

Try doing an uninstall, then go into the game maps folders via Windows explorer, and manually delete any files that are still there, or perhaps just the whole MAPS folder. Usually this is:

\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Close Combat - Gateway to Caen\MAPS\

And then reinstall after that.
