Can't Mod

I've tried to change the zoom and it gives me an access denied error. I tried to change the folders from read only but the changes do not take. Running windows 8.1. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. Problem resolved [;)]

I have saved the modded file under a different name, e.g. MAPVIEW_Mod.txt, deleted the original MAPVIEW.txt from the DATA folder and renamed MAPVIEW_Mod.txt to MAPVIEW.txt
Worked fine for me.

At first I couldn't save the changes to the zoom levels - then I changed the properties from read only. It still wouldn't let me save so I restarted my computer. I believe that did it.
