Map NBC contamination

Created a scenario with some Chemical contamination areas, 1 issue and 1 not sure if WIP/old change I missed

issue: when the scenario is played no contaminated hexes appear or cause a 'hit' effect per turn in the zone

not sure - didn't there used to be NP & P options for chemical contamination. I can provide map (but only if you promise not to laugh its still WIP) and scenario files

EDIT: I've done more testing and feel like I need to read the manual properly, the unit doesn't spot the contamination if it starts the scenario placed on that contamination, another unit has to move into the hex and 'discover' the contamination.

Hey Tazak,

Not sure if I totally understands all your questions but I will answer what I do understand.
1.  Contaminated markers are not discovered on the map until a unit moves into the hex or a recon unit moves next to it.
2.  They may or may not cause hits to the unit, they leave a unit contaminated that affects it readiness and morale unit the contamination is removed.  Unfortunately they don't continue to cause hits the longer a unit stays in the zone. I forgot the reasoning behind not allowing that since it was so long ago that we worked on this. I am hoping we can add some more realism of chemical warfare in 2.1. I am a former Chem Officer and would like to see it expanded.
3. There are not non-persistent chemical zones that can be placed on the map, only persistent chemical zones. There are non-persistent and persistent weapons that can be used by the player if the scenario allows them.
4. Regarding units setting up in a contaminated area and not discovering the area unit another unit moving into it, that is a bug that you found we were not aware of.

If this did not answer all your questions/concerns, let me know.
