How Does This Stack Up To Red Thunder?

I have some of the older BA games. I no longer have them installed, but overall I do think that on a older laptop or tablet they would run better than the more hardware intensive Combat Mission games.

Putting the hardware issues aside how would those of you who play both extensively compare Combat Mission to Battle Academy 2?

Night n Day. Combat mission is a wego/real time system while Battle Academy is pure turn based. The ai in Combat Mission leaves a lot to be desired and is only really playable with any fun experiences when it's on defense. Even assaulting with 2 to 1 odds it's creamable. If you want a Combat Mission experience with a stronger and better ai then get Panzer Command: Osfront from here. Battle Academy on the other hand has a pretty decent ai though nothing to write home about either if you play it slowly.
