Goblin and Orzel #2

Ok, It's on again. This time, he gets the Germans, and I the Soviets. It is December of '44 again, and the moon is only half full, with a sight range of.... SIX!! Oh yeah, baby!

Incidently, I found that if I set the moon at half full, and then set the turns at 18, it gives me a sight range of 50+ every time. That's why the last two tries were long shot battles.

I have purchased the valiant People's fighters, and they are waiting to meet the Nazi scum!

Let's get ready to RRRRRUUUUUUMMMMBLE!

Goblin

Ok...let's Rumble Once More!!!

I have picked my forces...and yes, far less bang for the buck...but I will fight none the less!!!
Back to you Goblin.

Lobbed some sight blockers at a hill in the center, and took my turn. Saw no Germans, but it is early yet... The lack of any enemy bombardment is a good sign! He has obviously forgotten to buy any artillery, and it will not be a problem because of that!

I cleverly bought an entire Cavalry Division! I will now proceed to overrun him with Cossack sabres!

I should rename myself to Goblin Evil. Mwahaha. Mwahahahah! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Goblin:eek:

Arty? Oh no....oops!!!

got so carried away getting a good mix that I plum forgot! Or did I? ;) Hmmm...guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Goblin has indeed popped smoke smoke-chokers all over the center of the map. Hmmm...is it to mask a move there or a ruse to draw me into a killing zone?

I have made my moves of choice...we shall see what transpires. I am thinking mass assault by waves of either overly infantry or overly armored units...I don't expect Goblin to go with a balanced force this time. I sense an inclination of my opponent to try and "smother me with masses" in a quick K.O. attempt.

It appears my opponent has forgotten to buy any forces! Silly Nazis, always good for a laugh! I shall toast the humor of the SS when I next have Vodka (say, in five minutes ;)).

Massive wave attacks?! Me?! You been talking to Pixel? Don't listen to him, he is...er....um... strange .;) He is also a pathological liar! Yeah, that's the ticket! You can trust your nice, friendly Soviet People's Propoganda Minister! Honestly!

I know what you're about my Friend...

this isn't last year...when I was the FNG without a clue...I have learned many lessons since then.

Of course a REAL MAN wouldn't have taken the Soviets Cheap purchase points AS WELL AS DROP THE VISIBILITY TO SIX to cancel out even the slightest German edge...but then you are only a furry green thing. :D :p

Despite these "home cooking" advantages...I will hit as hard as the a Eagle about to Strike it's prey!!! Die Green Weenie!!!

In my defense, I always let the computer randomly generate the sight range. I just found out why it was giving me the dam 50+ all the time is all!

Goblin

LOL...

Contact! My Elite Volunteers (conscripted infantry) have located Nazi spies (uniformed recon patrol) and soundly defeated them (called in armor)! Their morale is high (recon boys supressed two squads single handedly), and they will lead (retreat) us to victory (soak up Nazi fire)! We have every confidence in their ability (we can draft more), and know they will not let us down (live to be punished), because they have spirit (bayonettes at their kidneys)! Their glorious sacrifice (machinegunned in large groups) will not be forgotten (have to get their guns to pass out to the next 'volunteers'). We back them with all the might of the Soviet Army (gave them bullets)!

At Soviet Headquarters....

This Colonel...Goblin. He seems to be a fighter.

Yes, General. His spirit is truly patriotic.

He kills many Germans?

Yes, General. Many Germans will rot and fertilize the soil of Mother Russia.

If we had a thousand with his spirit!

Yes, General. We would drive the scum before us!

Send this Colonel Goblin our compliments, and let him know we support him!

Yes, General. I shall send the message.

M4 Jess- Yes, General.

One enemy Panzerfaust team is killed, and another sent packing. Is it me, or are those a bit scary? An enemy recon team is killed. My glorious conscripts continue to move forward, rolling over all opposition! My lendlease 57mm gunned halftracks are supporting them (LOVE the new 12.7mm MG sound!).

Goblin

Chippin' Away Eh?

Hmmm...not the tactic I thought Goblin would utilize. Oh well, got sick of those halftracks...found one of them and wasted it. The other must be hiding...too bad.
Now that I've struck...it's time to run and strike again another day...I won't sit still and let Goblin zero in on me with his arty...not this time my friend!!!
