Hello, I´ve got two questions about URSS and Comunist China. I don´t know if any of them are bugs or simply unknowledge about rules. I wait your answers bring ligth to me.[;)]

1)In our game, Comunist China conquered Manchuria but was URSS who controled it after conquest. is this correct? I thougth China must be the conqueror.

2) After fall of Japan my "enemy" sent Mao and other units to USRR. For our surprise, there is no foreign troops limits. In fact, Comunist China sent 4 or 5 units, I can´t remember exactly.

That´s all, Thank you!

They both sound like bugs to me. For #2, especially if no other Axis DoW'd China, because if Japan is completely conquered, China should go neutral, unless at war with any other Axis power, and China cannot DoW anyone.

Edit: Was it solely Communist China that conquered Manchuria? If Russians helped out, they might have been the conqueror under the "Influence" rules for Conquest.

URSS was under axis heavy pressure, not even one russian unit entered in Manchuria. The comunist units was sent before Japan was completly conquered. After, Germany must to declared war China to break the south flank of russian positions, so China was ever an active power.

Thank you Viktor

If you have a saved game (from before the conquest of Manchuria and from before the movementphase of Chicomm units moving into the USSR), can you please zip them and put them in here? That makes fixing bugs so much easier...

RAW says the the major power controlling the conqueror minor country should gain control of the conquered minor country. So the the Communist Chinese, the controlling major power is the USSR. That is how the program currently interprets this rule.

EDIT: For #2, I would need to se a saved game to understand what is happening.

I believe we've got a rule interpretation mistake here. Here is RAW on the line you've based the program on:

Minor countries never conquer anything. The home country or
territory is instead conquered by the minor’s controlling major power
(unless it is not at war, see 2.5).

This rule is only about minor countries units conquering territories or other countries.

Here is RAW on China (20):

Communist and Nationalist Chinese count as one major power for all
purposes (e.g. they can't be conquered separately, declaring war on
them is only one US entry effect, etc.).

This means that it is China which is the conquerer of Manchuria and not the USSR. Than, there should be another question asked: is it Nationalist or is it Communist China which gets control of the cities in Manchuria which haven't been entered by either Nationalist or Communist troops before conquest. That should be solved by following the order of conquest as stated in the conquest rules, I believe:

If more than one major power from the same side controls the capital
and printed factories in a home country, the major power with the
greatest influence in that home country is the conqueror. Use this
priority to determine who has the greatest influence:
1. Whoever controls most factories in the home country (with the
capital counting as an additional 3 factories for this calculation).
2. Whoever has the highest garrison value (see 13.1) in the home
country.
3. Whoever occupied the home country’s last factory or capital
city.

So this remains a bug, I believe...

Hi, I´ve been checking this old issues with the last patch 1.3.3.?

About number 1. Conquest of Manchuria. I aggree with Centuur, China communist is not a minor country, is an special major country so URSS should not gain control of Manchuria. IMO is difficult imagine a triumphant Mao giving historical China territories to URSS. The program works like Steve says but maybe this shoul be changed.

About number 2. The foreign troops limits. I have loaded an old save with the new version and now it seems that works correctly. So that bug was fixed from the time I reported it.

Thanks Steve and Centuur.
