Sorry for the odd title and reference to old thread but I was having serious issues posting using another name.

Anyway - was looking over the Strange Finland Behavior thread.

And given the posts there, I'm still interested in one point - has anyone completely conquered Finland as the USSR?

I don't mind if an event causes a cease fire and nearby troops get popped back into the Deployment box - but with all that Swamp and Forest ahead of me - it would be nice to know if there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

FYI - I have all the Baltic states and want to keep getting my forces some solid experience.

A substantial army has been mobilized against the Fins - but I'm thinking that other countries (Turkey etc) may be better targets if there is no happy ending possible for the Red Army up North.

Apologies again for the odd posting above - the forum software kept complaining that I was posting links too soon from my 10th post - yet there were no links in my text. Strange Behavior there as well. [;)]

I have played 'Road to Victory', 'Time of Wrath', and 'Time of Fury' and think I have taken Finland in all of them, but it is a slog. Turkey and Iran are perhaps better targets to attack.

It will be interesting to see how that Northern front plays out if I take no offensive action against Finland.
