Combat Results Not Correctly Applied

We have a combined allied amphibious and land attack on the German garrison in Bordeaux, France at 14:13, or 1:1, odds. The allies roll a 3, which is modified to a 4, on the assault table. The allies should lose both attackers but only the 7-4 attacking by amphibious landing is lost. The second US corps, a 6-4, is only disorganized.
