Keep old Techs & MORE ?

Another question from a new buyer of the game

A number of techs seem to be a sort of improvement for a previously earned tech

One may increase say minerals or food or training advances by some number or percentage and along comes one that increases the same thing by a higher number or percentage. Each costs you to keep and maintain the tech.

My question is to they both continue to provide the increase so say one is a 25% increase and one a 50% increase do you get both or should you just eliminate the smaller one because it no longer provides an increase it is just part of the larger. When you get armor upgrades for units you only put one on I was wondering if techs work the same way of sorts.

My understanding is they stack. You can run a quick test by selling one to confirm and see the results.

Thank you sir. As many have said, it would be nice if there were some basics in a manual or even in tip help from the game. As I was running out of food and minerals I noticed the techs doing the same things so I sold off a few of the lower performing ones in order to stop running out. It took care of the problem at hand, but if you do lose the effect then it should only be done when you have too.

Tough game, probably me missing the obvious. I've been trying to look for some answers on the Sliherine forum where many some of the game discussions like Pandora are much more active than here at my chosen Matrix.

Fist had to figure out how to fight off the initial bug attacks without being destroyed.

Next it was the end of the world alien invasion and being destroyed by them several times. Found a one way to do it last game requiring research and building mech units with laser weapons, but there must be some other less expensive and better for scientific advance.

Two big questions for me now

How do you advance as fast as the AI (on easy) as I keep losing a scientific victory.

Just how does the AI manage to advance research much quicker and at the same time be able to build so many units far beyond what I could build even if that is all I would do?

While the AI thrives I have to constantly worry about running out of food, out of minerals and low morale.

And once again- sure would have been nice to have a manual that actually tells you how the game works instead of having to guess.

For me so far, game has great potential, is fun, but frustrating to survive which may ultimately have be in the dust collecting section of the game library.
