Ghost Unit

Check out the CW 6-4 III Inf corps. It's over stacked, always committed to combat, but never can attack. By the way, the attack arrows are for the other 3 units in the hex. Even if you undo them all, the 6-3 can't be made to attack. It's a ghost unit.

This looks like a bug on the check of overstacking in the game. One of those three corps should have be destroyed. You shouldn't even be allowed to get three corps into on hex the way MWIF is coded now. Do you have any idea how you got those three units to stack in the same hex (during which phase)?

What is the history of III Corps? There is a known problem with units that were destroyed while doubled by an O-chit and then rebuilt. This has been fixed, but I am not certain the fix is retroactive. I do not know of any other way to get committed units that won't actually attack, but you may have found one. Again, a history of III Corps might be instructive. (Then again, it might be useless. [:)])

Honestly I don't recall the history of III Corps. There was an impulse a few turns ago where III should have been participating in an attack (only stacked 2 high), but didn't. At the time, I thought I'd just messed up when selecting it for an attack. But this last impulse was the first time I noticed for sure that something with III corps was wrong. I didn't realize I had 3 corps in the hex until I was assigning and doubling units for the attack. I think I could double III corps but, MWiF, wouldn't let me attack with it.
