Odd question

Now here is one odd question:
When a crew goes out of its vehicle, sometimes it is armed, sometimes it is not (I cannot figure out why, but randomness, BTW). Now, if the crew is unarmed, and if I bring them back to their Immobilized or Abandonned vehicle, and if by luck they get back into it, and if after that, I ask them to bail out ("9" key), is there a chance that the second time they will get their misc. weapons ?
This could make a real difference. For example, in a armoured train, the crew of a rail-gun is 42 men (!). Now, 42 armed or unarmed men is a big difference, sometimes...
Kinda "Oh **** guys, we forget our pistols in the tank ! Let's go back to take them..." scenario

LMAO!
Just a guess, but I believe the computer checks each time they bail. It wasn't an odd question. Here's an odd question...
Why does M4Jess like M4's?

Hmm..in theory crew units should always have 'misc weapons' as there is only one 'crew' unit available in the oob's.
That said, just yesterday I encountered a weaponless AT-gun crew in the Stalingrad campaign.
So perhaps these weaponless crews appear only when the scenario/campaign battle is an old one, a pre-7.1 version?
Perhaps back then crews were unarmed? (Can't remember myself...sooo long time ago)
Weaponless crews might also be a bug...I just did some small testing and bailed out some 50 crews and they all had weapons...

Primary weapon is the key

If the primary weapon (slot 1) of the vehicle is destroyed/jammed( missing from the list) and the crew bails out they get no misc. weapons only random number of smoke grenades that they can't use:mad:.

Secondary weapons being disabled don't take out the Crew's Misc. Small Arms then? I've never had a crew have to bail out from a secondary weapons disabling.
... I have had crews bail out after firing all their shots to deal with a precarious infantry threat, though. They had 2 shots with their Misc. Small Arms. Kinda' cheap, but...

I don't think so. Not 100% sure tho.

Hehe a bit risky but they have unlimited ammo and smoke stached in their vehicle.

Aside from the armoured train example, it does seem reasonable for the crew to lose their weapons while hurriedly evacuating a knocked out vehicle, after all they only have a handful of seconds to get out before being barbecued inside their tank.
I've encountered this situation plenty of times but it didn't really impact me that much since I often have a kubelwagen or halftrack waiting near my tanks to evac my crewmen to safety in the event of a vehicle getting hit.

Heh. Actually that might not be a bad way of simulating the crew sticking their pistols out of the pistol ports to take pot shots at nearby infantry.
