This also goes to show just how bad pirate income is broken. I took this screenshot after retiring ALL my ships, including builders. The only planet facilities that I ever built were three wonders: Both of the trade complexes (which boost total income) and the holographic universe (again, the morale gain is enough that - with a large enough empire, it should actually boost income as well).
Despite all that, even with over 50 planets under my control my gross annual income is barely 130,000cr and my net is less than 60,000cr.
