I think so. I think the Barracuda might be an example to use even though it is a DB/TB or IIRC one of the Brit/Aussie Beaufighter models is a torpedo carrier as well.

As far as I know they should work fine, I did some sand boxing a while ago and I recall using them to fairly good effect.

Yep. Beauforts do also.
I've been hit by them before.
