So I fixed the issue with the messed up colors (Windows mode did the trick), however, now the game feels really jerky (e.g moving the map screen is jerky, moving units around, etc). Is there anyway around this, or is this just how the game is (haven't played since 2011 so honestly don't remember)

It shouldn't be jerky as the core of game of all Matrix releases is CC5 that came out in 2000 so our hardware today is much better.

You could try a couple different video drivers, either newer or older, as it wouldn't be the first time video drivers have broken a game.

I would check your scroll speed and game speed settings in the game options, to make sure those are set to the highest levels. You might also try a different (smaller) size setting for the game window -- if making the window smaller helps with the jerkiness it is likely some sort of video driver / video card issue.

Tried lower Res and different Win 8.1 PC with nothing changed (and on top of that - one PC sports Radeon while the other NVIDA).

The jerkiness comes in the form of moving the map around in battle. Instead of a smooth motion, it jerks. Everything else, is fine. Ironically - while playing CC5 Regular (not TLD Version) - The map moved around in a smooth motion opposed to the jerking.
