Control of Mukden Not Transferred after Occupation

Control of Mukden in Manchuria still remains with the Japanese after occupation of that city by the communist Chinese. FYI, several turns ago this city was occupied by a Chinese partisan that was successfully dispatched by the Japanese, also several turns ago.

Any chance that a saved game from before the phase that the city was entered by the Chicomm is available?

No. I've advanced the game 3 or 4 turns beyond this screen cap and it still shows control by the Japanese. And, the communist unit still occupies the city. The game will let me select to rail the unit though.

It's just not Mukden that the won't properly change from the Japanese to the communist Chinese ... take a look at Port Arthur and at the victory totals for Japan. Something's up ...

I have tried to recreate your bug, and failed. On my computer, Port Arthur changes control to the Soviet Union when a Communist Chinese unit enters it, just as it should.

Figuring out a bug you can't recreate is hard. Do you have any idea how you did this? When you get to the land movement step, what happens when you move one of the Communists in and out of Port Arthur? If control does not change, please post a saved game from the start of the land movement step.

Thank you.

I think I would like to have a saved game from his computer before he moves the Chicomm in the next Allied impulse. This last save will mean at least an hours work to get at that point, and that's too much.

However, a quick look also gave me a strange thing... With both Free France and Vichy active in the game, how could the Dunkerque have become a CW controlled ship (it's in the UK...). This would mean that this ship was first captured by the Axis and than recaptured by the CW. Possible, but strange...

Could have been captured from Vichy.

Correction: on my computer, Port Arthur becomes Communist Chinese, not Soviet, controlled. However, the Port Arthur major port symbol covers up the Chinese star on the control flag, so it looked Soviet to me, and I did not look over to the left to see that the main form was telling me that the hex was controlled by the Communists.

My apologies for the confusion.

I don't know how I did it. [&:] But both Vichy and Free France are active and at war. In fact, Vichy France is at aggressive war with the CW, USA and Free France.
