Artillery-barrage impact IIon remaing time (APs)

When I attack, I often get "Attacker runs out of AP"
If I lay a barrage with my artillery, does it affect the remaining APs because Time is used up from the barrage?
If yes, do lose more time with more artillery units participating in the barrage or is that no factor?

I'll give this a try. Artillery, aircraft and land forces do not appear to affect AP usage on each other. And artillery attack that uses all 10 rounds will not affect how much combat can occur using either aircraft or land forces. I use aircraft and artillery attacks first to soften up a location before committing ground units to an attack.

Using more units in an attack does not use more time but adds to the 'stacking' factor (not sure what they actually call this). When you exceed 100, the additional units (it could be all units) don't have as much effect.

When you get an attacker runs out of AP message it usually means that unit did not have as much AP left as other units in the attack. That unit cannot take part in as many rounds of combat as the other units that had more AP at the start of the attack.

Hopefully Vic or someone more knowledgeable will be along and correct my mistakes.
