Can I return a/c to National Reserve?

I know we can deploy from the NR but cannot see a way to transfer from on map to the Nat Reserve. Any ideas,

You can't - you have to find a quiet airfield and set them to rest.

Speaking to this, is there a reason NOT to bring them from the NR?

Avoiding them being destroyed by allied air power.

Any reason for the Allies not to bring in units from the National Reserve?

None I can think of unless you are low on planes. The Allies do have some tight spots periodically on some models.
