Full Campaign vs AI

I've played Husky a few times and started a Full Campaign against the AI with FOW and normal difficulty. Has anyone else tried it out and how is it so far?

Regardless of what one may think of WitW, its pretty daunting. Just looking at what needs to be done with the air campaign in Northern Europe and the pending invasion in the Med-I'm still pondering if I want to invade Sicily, I can't even begin to imagine what a combined War in the West and War in the East on this scale would be like-especially if the naval part gets fleshed out.

It would probably be even more complex that WitP.

Question-what would be the implications of invading Sicily then Sardinia, Corsica and straight to Southern France in a combined assault somewhere in Northern France, ignoring Italy altogether?

With no pressure in Italy the Germans will have a lot more goodies to stop you in southern France.

It also depends on how early you go in, im not sure there are enough airbases in Corsica Sardinia to make it work in 43.

I believe there is a VP penalty if you do not have some troops on mainland Italy by the end of 1943.

You get a penalty if you dont have atleast 10 hexes controled in mainland italy by Feb 1944
You also get a penalty if you dont have 10 hexes controled in northern europe by Jul 1944.

Check the campaign victory conditions in the manual

The penalty is:

On February 1, 1944 if the Allies do not control at least
10 hexes in mainland France, Northern Europe or Italy,
the Allies lose 400 victory points.

So you can go to Southern France instead of Italy if you want to as long as you control 10 hexes.

Gah...it's a thousand points if you don't control in Northern Europe/Mainland France by July 1, 1944.
