Production screen question

In the production screen air section after units column there are negative numbers in brackets in red color. Is the number how many of that type of aircraft you have lost since the beginning of the scenario?
I don't really understand the vehicle repair numbers. Is the number in the pool how many vehicles are in need of repair and in the built column how many vehicles have been repaired to date? What about the vehicles in repair number that is on the right side of the screen. How does it tie to those?
