Campaign alwasy ends after one battle

Hi all

I have SPWAW 7.1 and wanted to play an auto-generated campaign as the germans in WWII

However, every time I play it (3 times now), the campaign ends after the first battle (a decisive victory in each case - maybe related?). The computer tells me the war is over.

- campaign is configured to run from 1/39 to 12/45.
- battle points set to 1600 so the battles arent too big.
- number of battles set to 30
- player 1 set to germany. Other 3 players are USA, UK and Russia

Does anyone know what I can change so that the campaign runs for multiple battles?

Just curious, is this the campaign generator or the WW2 campaign?

Well, if I would read the whole post and I might realize it's the auto one. I personally use the WW2 one and have never experienced a problem.

Thanks - yes i used the campaign generator

I have used the ww2 campaign with no problems

Campaigns generated by the campaign generator always end after the first battle

I'm using SPWAW 7.1

Hmm, very strange, I'm playing numerous generated campaigns, with no problems?! Before version 7.1, there was a brief time when running a campaign that there would be a French flag, and no options to advance, forcing you to cntrl-alt-delete out of the game, but that was the WW2 long campaign.

Check the dates he is using. Could December 1945 be a problem?

Also, if the .prf file hasn't been deleted and rebuilt, try that. That's standard, maybe you/ve done it. If prf file OK, take a real close look at the preference settings. Some of them, such as Rarity can create problems. As a test, turn Rarity and True Cost OFF.

If you get the same result, turn Characteristics OFF and see what happens. I know this means replaying that first battle a couple of times, but if you really like the long campaign over the packaged ones, its worth a try.

I tried the generator a couple of times, didn't care much for it. There are so many fine campaigns which have been done by talented designers I don't feel the need to go elsewhere. You do lose a certain measure of control in these generated situations.
