He brought a recon regiment to a fight with a full strength panzer division supported by an infantry division. Outnumbered almost 20:1 in manpower and 5:1 in AFVs. Plus M3A3 Stuarts against Panthers. Yeah, that never goes well for the US.

So what is being proved here??
An agressive Allied player sometimes sticks his neck out too far??
Hardly an earth shattering occasion.

"So what is being proved here?? "
it REALLY was raining.
American fascination with Cavalry disasters.
why such heavy losses and routing instead of falling back.
where were US reserves.
Did the Allied and German units not involved in this battle have their moral change.
what was fatigue level of forces.
light woods, raining, did the US forces have a low recon of Germans which lead to the event.
one or two other things.
"Hardly an earth shattering occasion."
except for the 4th US Cavalry Group.
just a rainy day in France.... as advertised.

where were US reserves.
Initial CV of 176 - 12, I don't believe the AI commits reserves to what will be a lopsided loss anyway.
I recall the cutoff coming up in WitE discussions, but I'm not sure what it is for WitW.
