After viewing the ship gallery, going back to the regular screen and clicking on a TF results in a irrecoverable crash.

More detail, I started the game in 2.11 and now play on 2.20. Play a turn, and just go into the view ships without clicking on anything. Then I exit that screen and try to click on a TF. I am running Windows XP Home. I am more than happy to send the save file.
no crash

Have you played any turns since this? If so can you try to repicate it.

I am using a raedon8500 w xp-pro
I have screen lockups when I access the transfer screen
it wont do the transfer and it wont allow you to click on exit.
you have to quit the game and reload. Offhand I suspect a
video driver bug, but I am unsure.

Chiteng,
If you mean that the display window can't be exited after ordering the transfer of an air unit to another base, that also happened to me twice. Perhaps a big coincidence, but in both cases the commanding officer of the squadron had crashed on the transfer, and the place where he should be displayed just showed '???'.
I found that the display window begins answering again if you just go to the Save screen. No need to reload, just save the current game and when you come back all is working again.
I'm still under Windows 98, so that's not an XP- problem.

Yes the pilot death I thought was a coincidence. But yes
I have suffered the same same effect on pilot death.

Well, now the Matrix team have a good clue to fix that one. Not game-killing, just annoying and quite difficult to re-create, but worth a look nonetheless.

Yes, I have played turns afterwards and the crash is repeatable - many times. I just save the game now before I go into the ship database and I am prepared to use the trusted old alt-ctrl-del to exit.

Unsure which aspect you are speaking of.
Yes the pilot aspect is easily repeated. Use the editor
give a squadron an immpossible number of aircraft,
then try to transfer it to a different base.
That is not the ONLY way it will occur however.
