Where's the transport?

Server game with DicedT. Both the 82nd and the 6th Airborne have 90 prep, sitting in an airfield hex, supplied, with transports sitting on the same airfield as the 6th, but yet when I go to launch them, there is no transport, but on another page it shows I have over 2k transport available in the Med. Am I missing something? I had to conduct an invasion without the airborne divisions because I couldn't get the transport to fly. They are set to all weather, and have traveled only 1%, so I see no reason why they can't drop. Another oddity I've noticed is that the 509th Parachute Regiment is with the 8th Army near Cassino, and has never been given an airborne target, and shows no target on the unit info, but it shows up in the Airborne Planning screen as targeting France.

Best guess is they aren't in range of the target hex or they have some miles flown (training) and thus can't perform an airdrop. Would need a save to see.

It's a server game with DicedT and it should be the present turn. The transport and the units are on Corsica, one div with transport that had flown 1%, and the target is just above Rome to assist an invasion there, so the distance shouldn't be an issue. I went ahead without them.

Looks like I'm too late as you've already gone a full turn forward. I see that in the latest Allied turn you can drop the airborne units. I can't explain why you weren't able to do it on the previous turn.

Found your answer.

The american transport planes can't para drop in those hexes, too far away.
The british transport can, hence, only the BR airwing shows up

Page 163:

The airdrop of airborne combat units has to be the first and only mission conducted by a transport air group unit in a turn. Once a transport air group unit has used miles for any other purpose, it will be unavailable for airdrop of airborne combat unit missions.

You need to get your transports in place the turn before you want to make the drop.

What is the best way to see the operational (or drop) transport range ring? Seems I can only get the Transfer Range ring to come up during the F10 function.
