Anyone tracked this? I want to increase the number of depth charges loads to historical values in some destroyers, but i am afraid if in game that might make wacky things.

you might want to contact one of the Babes guys, those were the first to get this into a very good model ingame

Yes it will make seriously whacky things. That's what all the screaming about Japanese "Super Es" was about.
The game is about conforming the data to the code's combat algorithms, not about having perfect OOBs. I'm sure Alfred will point you to one of the many threads where this has been discussed. If all you want is nice editor OOBs, without regard as to how they play, then have at it.

Yes indeed, ASW and depth charges is an oft brought up topic.
The following thread is a must read thread on the subject.
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2849954&mpage=1&key=depth%2Ccharges
A Must read thread because not only does it have many posts from JWE aka Symon, but he goes into great detail as to why the DaBabes "fixes" were done in the manner they were. His posts also clearly point out the sort of traps which await those who demand that Wikipedia historical accuracy be exactly represented in the ship load outs.

Thanks that link will help, but my question was not related to the number of weapon channels( every DC launcher the ships has ) but to the total number of DC's. An example, if a ship has only one DC launcher and i increase its load from 5 to 20 DC will start to drop how many more DC's in any ASW attack.
An user made some tests and says in the thread linked by Alfred that it seems to be 1-3 DC dropped per DC channel.

It's all related because the number dropped per channel then inluences how many attacks, etc. etc.

Whether you have ammo 10, or ammo 10,000, what is used depends on the attack algorithm. The attack algorithm determines how many devices fire and how often. It does not depend on "user estimates".

I see it is difficult to know. I just want to give some combat endurance to the ship, but at same time don't making it a uber ASW ship.
