Serila # too long?

I'm trying to reinstall WiA on my "refreshed" Win 8 (formerly 8.1), but when I type the following:
7QZYR - AAYAM - T9WXG - CFLHG - 8KHRE - MTX1675 with several variations in spacing around the hyphens, I get a cryptic message claiming that my serial number isn't long enough.
I don't recall having this issue the first time I (successfully) installed the software.
This also happened to Durk on the AGEOD WiA forum, but as I bought it through Matrix, he said to see you, so what do I do?
