So I invaded the Korrabian spice planet, later a 3rd empire invaded it and took control. Now I landed troops on it once again, won the ground, but the planet remains in the control of the 3rd empire. I can see my troops on the ground (there is no battle occuring any longer), but I dont own the planet, wtf!!

I reloaded the autosave, I have 550k versus 200k defense, as the battle resolves a ton of my troops just disappear, and then the left over ones stay on the ground but become part of the other empire.. Im about to open the game editor and give myself this planet, what BS!!

Three way battles have been reported to be problematic (look for existing threads in the forum) I haven't encountered them myself, but I remember reading about the problem.

The way a three way battle works in Distant Worlds is the first empire to land troops if they win will always get the planet. So if you come along and see a ground battle already going and add your troops to the fight and your addition is enough to turn the tide and win the battle then the planet will go to the empire that already had troops on the ground before you added yours to the battle. Any remaining troops will join the empire that controls the planet IE you lose your ground troops on planet as well. Bug or not that is how it always worked since day one of distant worlds years ago.
