Because Toyahara still has no base force
never mind I assigned one

I had to do an analysis.

It turns out slots 4408-4411 are bad - IN STOCK. Regardless of operating system or processor type in stock scenario 1. And in all other scenarios I have tried, stock or otherwise.

You might post that in Tech Support so that Michael can peak and see if those slots are supposed to be special.

The slots are not bad. They work just fine. They are used for the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 32nd Special Base Forces, allocated to Southwest Area Fleet. Here’s a screen shot of the 23rd and 24th, at Nagasaki, just as they are supposed to be. It is Babes, but it is confirmed identical in Stock. The Babes small-map scenarios use these slots routinely for other, alternate LCUs and have experienced no issues.

There are some really nasty, go to hell, things that happen, within the editor, when one dicks with HQs in the 001 to 215 range. These things flow down to the base list and the LCUs.

If one does not know “exactly” what they are doing, things will be definitely go into the toilet. I think that is the problem, here.

Symon dicking with HQ 001-215 means what level of dicking we are talking about? changing name, place on map?

Actually I think something is up in the code. Enclosed is a screenshot of Kure at game start (scen 1). The 22nd Special Base Force is supposed to be there as per the editor, but it doesn't show up in the unit list. I found the same with other units in nearby slots.

I haven't had a chance to look at it in the code. I can't imagine why a chunk of slots in the middle of the Japanese OOB would be unusable or why it would work in the Babes and not the stock scenarios. It may also be dependent on the version of the code. I'm looking at the most recent code distribution from Michael which may differ some from John's code version.
