Hi Good Folks,

I bought this game several moths ago. It never work on my machine and just give up long time ago. Now I would like give it next chance. I have installed fresh copy, all patches, including beta and game still refuse to cooperate.
It CTD without any error message during axis movement turn every time I am setting 1st turn (when I am clicking on axis unit on map, but not the same unit each time).
I have already tried run game as admin, UAC-protected OFF/ON.

I will be very grateful for any advice.

Please try to rename the Sound folder to Soundx to rule out possible audio codec issues. You'll find this in your WitE installation folder after opening the Dat subfolder.
If the crashes disappear please DL and run http://www.free-codecs.com/Codec_Tweak_ ... wnload.htm (Top Left Button "Fixes", then edable fust the top two checkboxes). Rename Soundx to Sound and test again.
I assume the opening videos play without problem and with sound. If not try renaming the Video folder as well.

If crashes persist please add a dxdiag report file.

I've found this problem with penultimate beta, no reason latest is different as changes don't affect sound. It does appear to be sound related as removing sound stops crashes. However, codec tweak tool did not resolve the problem so dxdiag attached-

It always crashes during ground combat, so I guess its a combat sfx.

try procmon to isolate what kind of codec causes game crash, and remove them.
