I was quite pleased to see what careful preparation can do for the allies.

This must have been a text book battle for Patton/Bradley. I think these two are going to be famous.

You lost 3 times more aircraft then pairs of boots on the ground. 303->780 is impressive.

Not to be out done, Monty just took Messina. He only achieved 7-1 but then there was a German unit guarding the city, and it wasn't cut off from supplies for the last few turns. I had 3 reserve units jump into the attack.

Wish I remembered to take a screen shot.

Italians lost more guns than they had? looks bugged.

I was wondering about that. I don't have the manual to verify but I wonder if 39 guns engaged in combat but there were more guns that were lost upon retreating or something.

Could also be Fog of War (FOW).

Or probably the various fixed Flak units not contributing to the battle and being lost with capture of the city.

Probably the flak guns in the city that aren't in the combat but usually die when the hex is taken.

Those are flak guns attached to the city that surrender when the hex is taken.

Is there a place I can figure out what all theses values mean. I do like to read into my big victories afterwards, but what the various headings and stuff listed in these tabs mean I can not figure out.

FPE? HPE? AP hits and HE hits (Against my units? Against enemy units?). Anyone can point me to a guide?
