The development team behind the award-winning games Decisive Campaigns: From Warsaw To Paris and Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive year and theater of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue simulates the German drive to Stalingrad and into the Caucasus of the summer of 1942, as well as its May preludes (2nd Kharkov offensive, Operation Trappenjagd) and also the Soviet winter counter-offensive (Operation Uranus) that ended with the encirclement of 6th Army in Stalingrad and the destruction of the axis minor armies. With many improvements including the PBEM++ system, this is a release to watch for wargamers!

The editor being built for DC3 will it be able to be used with DC Case Blue? I picked this game back up and this is just a great game. To do it justice it really needs a more workable editor.

Could anyone who has done an improved oob pm me. I'd like to see what is out there.

The new editors that will ship with DC3 will make creating new scenarios easier. The old ones are constructed in such a way that making it easier will alas not be possible.

I am hoping to back port the new editors to older DC titles and maybee (!!) hopefully also come up with a special file format that allows sharing of these user-made scenarios over all DC titles. Like DC1 only plays .dc1 files. DC2 only .dc2.. and DC3 only .dc3.... but the idea is all will eventually be able to play .dcx files. Its a though job but I am on it. I think it would make it much more interesting to design your own scenarios if they can be shared with all DC users.

ps: but yes the old scenarios they'll stay where they are locked in their respective DC. The new Community Project I plan to ship first with DC3 really has to be seen almost as a seperate game made accessible for free to all DC users.

best wishes,
Vic
