T2 brings an invasion of both Sardinia and Corsica. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture on the server, so it will come later. Just picture it in your head. Good.

How are you providing air cover for the Corsica landing? Probably you aren't, which may become a problem. It's possible Meklore is working on this counter, but the Axis should be able to gain Air Supremacy over Corsica right now.
I like early Sardinia landing, but I don't see a need to land on Corsica turn 2. Once you are ashore on Sardinia/Sicily, you can bomb the ports on Corsica, which will discourage the Germans from staying. Once the Germans leave, it will flip when Italy surrenders. In the long run, it's a death trap for Germany, but on turn 2 it may be a deathtrap for you.......[X(]

I'll be good. I have air to reach, and will have have air on sardinia shortly. There is hardly any resistance on Corsica. It's a gamble and I understand your point. Guess we will see! We have no exit plan (see George Bush pic above)
An after picture will do meklore.

July '43, Lt. Evel Notsee reporting: This turn the mighty pilots of the glorious Reich, long may it last, showed our respects to the allied TF's off Corsica. They isolated the beaches while our most esteemed ally, Italy conducted counter attacks against the invading horde. I believe these cheesy attacks...er, I mean glorious counter attacks netted me a Victory Point. Celebrations where held in Rome.
In other news our U-boats rule the seas! Thanks to our other esteemed ally, Bomber Command, we have plenty of subs to win the Battle of the Atlantic.

That is what stinks about 'During' Action Reports as opposed to After Action Reports.

He may not want you to see the naval interdiction around Corsica, and all the glorious Reich bombs falling on allied heads. My goal is his transports. So long as he has a TF up there, I'm killing transports. Strategic win if I get enough of them. There's no way to hold the islands, or any island so long as bombers can reach the ports. The more air I put over the beaches, them more transports I get.

I still have 252 transports and Turn 5 has started. I think you don't kill them once the troops land? Each turn prior it went from 256 - 260 - 248(invasion) - 252.

They only die I think when they are used for moving replacements. Everything else goes by cargo ship. They are whats gonna get sunk by a lot of interdiction.

In my game with Pelton, I've lost over 50 something transports, and that was thru all level 9 hexes all the way back to England. Three turns from a high of 250 something to 180 (17 last turn lost). Must be losses from those stealth subs the axis scientist have!

Late July'43. Lt. Notsee reporting from Corsica. The allied airfields on Corsica took a pasting this week as our most Elite Fliers destroyed over 250 shiny new planes on their runways (according to FOW recon).
A few Italian Pilots were also shot, for shooting at helpless allied fliers in their barracks. Il Duce says that this sort of Un-German behavior will not be tolerated in his realm (he was allegedly with his mistress at the time and could not be found for further comment).
Also on the Corsican front, our mighty ally Italy has been re-supplied by our Elite Fliers flying around the clock to drop supplies to them. They still have half the island to them, and they have fortified in mountain hexes for the horde to arrive. Only hope our allies have is if the LW can save them. The invasion beaches were closed again this turn, and both the captured ports isolated by sea. There were also reports that several troop ships carrying air support units were sunk to Poseidon, so probably not a lot of air cover next turn either. I'm sure that my Superior's have something dastardly...I mean Decisively planned next week, but we will have to wait till then.
Signing off till next week,
Lt. Evel Notsee
