Hello,
I just installed GTC and on my screen when i click on the autorun.exe, nothing happens. The patch 1.02 has been downloaded and installed yet. I'm using Windows 7 Family Edition and I didn't meet this problem before.

Autorun.exe is the game menu application. On Windows 7 you'll usually see the Windows "User Account Control" dialog box that says 'Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer ...' If you're not even seeing that dialog box, then something in Windows is preventing it from running, I suspect.

What happens if you wait a little while (30 seconds so) after you try and start autorun.exe?

Are you able to run the game directly (via CCE.EXE)?

I don't know that she was the cause of the problem but i could adjust my pc by restoring an earlier date and there, it works.

Does your Close Combat still say version 1.02 when you play?

Yes, i installed and it appears.

Then I suspect it was something else about your system that was preventing the autorun.exe from being able to execute. Glad that you were able to fix it with the rollback though.
