Hi Guys,

I bought this game when it first came out but I was busy playing other games. I just started it up and I was wondering about the following:

1. How do you take a nice screenshot when the game is over?

2. I was wondering if any tutorials are available?

3. What view do most players use? The military symbols or the generic pics of the little units?

4. Music - how to turn off?

I'll check out you tube if anything is out there

3. I do prefer NATO symbols over pictograms. This is really dependent on personal preferences.

4. Game preferences are available under PREFS tab inside game interface.

I ended up finding the answer to the music thing and I played the two easier scenarios and played as the axis. I lost both scenraios to the soviets as minor losses.

Regarding your question no. 1. here are some methods for your consideration. You can use some 3rd party screen capture utility. There are a plethora of choices on the internet, just Google for screen capture tool or some similar idiom. You will find many solutions are for free but others are not.

I am IT professional and among other things I write a lot of IT documentation with plenty screen captures included. That’s what I do for living, therefore my personal weapon of choice is SnagIt. It is not free but it has some excellent features I require that make my papers looking neat and professional. You will rather look for some free alternative.

The other method is to use Print Screen key on your keyboard. This functionality captures your entire screen and keeps it in the buffer. To actually edit or do some other adjustment to your capture you’ll have to paste it from buffer to some graphic editing tool. If you don’t have any installed, for emergencies, you can use Paint. It is part of your Windows installation under Accessories. This tool is rather Spartan in appearance and functionalities but it serves well for basic editing.

Again, search the internet for alternatives and you will find plenty. I use Paint.Net. It is not Photoshop or some other flagship app but I don’t need Photoshop. PShop is overkill for my requirements and Paint.Net delivers just right. And it’s free.

Snipping Tool - available on all modern versions of Windows. It is a fine screen capture alternative.

Very handy, and you probably already have it.
