First turn losses

After running the first turn as the Allies in the 43-45 Campaign I noticed I acquired an "other loss VPs" of -29. I had only invaded the Gela area with II Corps - having reselected the British beaches (and thus the Brits sat in port). Wondering what that was all about I ran a turn 1 where I did absolutely nothing - no invasion, no air aside from some automatic coastal patrols and still ended up losing -29 "other loss VPs".

I am not sure I understand acquiring so many lost VPs when I did not lose any men. Seems to be hard coded into turn one processing?

The game starts with the disabled pool primed with a number of injured soldiers. These cause victory points against you, which they say have been accounted for in the final reckoning.
