Hi !

Playing Shadow starting before space age.
My SSP upgrades to LSP, I guess following AI suggest to upgrade everything.

I tried putting the SSP on no auto, manual upgrade. No luck.

Eventually I put ship desing on auto but unchecked the space stations : no luck... [&:]

Please can someome tell me how to prevent that. Will all my SSP turn to LSP magically ?

Having a LSP with no resource at start is not what I planned for ! [:-]

The AI seems to upgrade spaceports according to its settings if you accept the "retrofit all" suggestion.

So the way to avoid this is to never accept that one, you can probably go to ship list and select all and retrofit if you really want to send all into the yards at the same time.

It seems to me in former version of Distant World the AI did not changed ship category with auto upgrade...

Meaning now an Escort could auto upgrade to Capital ? Outch [X(]

Thanks for the tip I will play without auto... Is there a way to keep auto for some ships in a reliable way ?

It is only spaceports, ships don't change classes. The issue is possibly there with automated construction, but I never use that and have noticed it happening with "suggest" on construction (and accepting retrofit).

That might be connected to the empire policies, you can specify there when to construct a ssp a msp or a lsp when population reach a certain number.
