For the scenario designers here are some German stats for those of u who want to make realistic TOEs for German panzer units
Panzer Inventory
Jul43--Aug43--Dec43--Jan44--Jun44--Sep44
PzV-428--524--912--1084--1898--2110
Pz IV-1472--1374--1689--1668--2304--2135
Pz III-1423--1244--960--920--839--0 (no longer in frontline service as of November 1944--Only 5 Panzer Divisions still had PzIII on the Eastern front in December 1943)
For availabilty in most cases divide the inventory number by 2
Halftracks
Here is a stunning number-In a 1943 Panzer Divison there were 233 251/1 and 64 250/1 (all variants) in the TOE...however only 47 251/1 and 22 250/1 were APCs. It seems the main reason German Panzergrenadiers used trucks or walked was because only 69 (23%) of the 297 HTs in a PzDiv were designated as APCS...Majority of the HTs in a Pz div were engineering/weapons carriers/radio-communication/support-supply/command..
Specialized Halftracks Production Stats
these stats are for the entire war!
250/8-69
250/9-324
251/9-1141
251/10-231
251/16-345
251/17-211
251/21-387
251/22-268
Armored Cars Production Stats
PSW-221/222/223-production halted in 1943--306 produced in 1943 and 21 in 1944
PSW-231/232 production halted in 1943--200 produced in 1943
PSW-233 production halted in 1944-last 100 in 1944
these stats are for the entire war!
These were designed in 1940 and took the Germans 4 years to get them into production--complicated and over-engineered
PSW 234/2-101
PSW 234/1-200
PSW 234/3-88
PSW 234/4-98
Flak Panzers Production Stats
FPz38-141
Mobelwagen-240
Wirblewind-106
Ostwind-43
While creating TOES for PzDiv packed with goodies is fun reality was your chances of running into the latest German AFVS in 1944 was practically nil
