Hi

Am playing version 1.00.29 and am having great trouble getting the air execution combat phase to display any details
of the air combat taking place, especially after turn one. The settings in the user preferences don't change from,
Air Execution Phase Detail HIGH and Combat Resolution Message Level 7. It displays the air combat in what appears
to be the lowest settings but then displays ground combat at the highest detail level.

Any ideas?

Do you set detail level in the preference screen or using short keys? I'm not having problems to see all air execution and air battles details.

I am having the same problem in version 1.31 and I set the Detail Level for Air Combat in the Preferences Screen.

Do you mean air execution detail or combat resolution detail level? Did you try hot keys or top menu switch?

From the User Preference Screen I chose

Air Execution Phase Detail = High
Combat Resolution Message Level = 5 or 6
and the program went right through the Air Execution Phase like I didn't want to see anything.

I did not try the hotkeys or the Top Menu Switch.

I just used the Top Menu Switch and can get any detail I want. No problem using the Menu Switch with One to Four aircraft highlighted.

I set the details in the preference screen, and tried using the hotkeys when it wasn't showing any air combat, had no effect. I could change the detail levels back and forth using the hotkeys on the turns that showed air combat detail. Few things that I have noticed when it doesn't show any air detail, is that the toggle units on map is selected and cant be deselected, the map doesn't move and there are there are no red or green lines showing aircraft paths and as the axis player I also get the interdiction levels selected although I can turn this on or off. Occasionally saving a turn in the air planning stage, quitting the game and then loading the turn will get the air combat to display but this is very 50/50.

Many Thanks Randy, wasn't aware that there was a hotkey for Air Execution Detail(eagerly awaiting physical manual) seems to have solved the problem totally.[:)] [:)]
