Russian Steel Repair ??

In essence, you noted that some of your tanks - damaged during the battle - showed up undamaged during the repair phase -
a nice problem to have, eh?
I don't know exactly what is going on - I have noticed this too...
I remember a post from long ago (like SPWAW 3.0!!) and the discussion went that if the crew survives...and if you achieve a certain level of victory then the game assumes you "held the battlefield" and recovered the vehicles....
Perhaps the crews bailed to suppressive effects (morale) as opposed to actual vehicle damage? In this case the AI might give you back a fully functional tank at no extra charge?
In this case the crew must have rallied, sneaked back to their tank after the fight was over, revved the engine and reported for duty with some lame story about mechanical breakdown???
That has certainly happened at least once in real life...
I can say for sure that whatever you see is a SPWAW "feature" - nothing was done in the design to cause this and we cannot make code changes as was done in the megacampaigns...
