I think the TOD is a hugely underused resource of information, I'm putting it down to 'not overly user friendly' but with some changes can provide a easy to read timeline allowing players to quickly read through any activity that has occurred they might have missed watching.

Standard format:
this is the current format
0641 hrs - 3/A/Iron Horse - new orders received: Screen in hex 1101
0641 hrs - SitRep - 3/A/Iron Horse with screen orders has 2 x Mechanized Rifle, 1 x Heavy MG and 1 x Dragon in hex 1101 at 42% readiness with 46% ammo and 32% morale. 1 enemy(s) spotted.
0642 hrs - 1/C/Iron Horse in 1108 is engaging 2 x BMP-1D, 4 x Mechanized Rifle, 2 x 30mm AGS GL, 4 x Heavy MG and 2 x AT-3 Sagger in hex 1208 at range 645m.

While this is a very small sample (export it to excel and a battalion sized force will generate over 1000 lines in a few hours), and other than sitrep you need to read everything, if these were labelled similar to the sitrep above in the following fashion;

This would allow export to excel and have filters applied to filter out the 'updates' not required and allow for a much faster read. I've used standard report names that most ex-military will be familiar with.

Export
An export option (CSV or XLS) would be nice, more for ease of use as you need to select all then copy and paste

Definitely something we can spruce up in 2.1. I would like to get some combat reporting in there too. Some weapons used and basic hit numbers. I will have to talk to Rob as well to see if export and filtering could be done in the existing control or if we need to rebuild it in a way where exported reports and filters could be used.

Ideally, if we can have a log file initiated and writed in real time with this Tac op diary content well formatted (csv format is ok ^^), it will help for some modding possibilities.

I would like to have at the start of the scenario, the full player OB written in the tac op/log file too, if possible ^^.
