Another Scenario Design question

Hello everyone,

I've got another scenario design question. I'm working on situation where there is a computer controlled "enemy" sub is in its patrol zone, there will also be a computer controlled friendly sub operating in the patrol area.

I'm having trouble setting up a patrol area for the comupter controlled friendly sub, using reference points. I have them set for my patrol area that also includes a prosecution area, I want to force my "crew" and myself to have to determine the difference between the my friendly sub and the opposition. I want both friendly subs to have the same patrol areas. When I add the new Friendly side, the reference points for my prosecution and patrol zones are no longer visable.

You could add the reference points to both sides using the lua script console, which would put them in the same spot for both sides.

Generally the Ref Pts for one side will not show when you switch to another side.  I have not tried the Lua trick mentioned above but a work-around to do this would be:

Side A:  Set up the Ref Pts, missions etc - Then put a unit on each Ref pt, dosn't matter what it is they are just markers
Side B: Set God's eye on, put your Side B Ref points over the 'marker' units.  Set up your missions
Delete the marker units

A bit awkward but it works.

Another thing that I haven't tried is to use Ref points from another side in a mission - I don't think it works.  Ref points from another side will work for Event Triggers and Event Actions though.

Hope that helps.
