Just an oddity I noticed, when I had to load the game from an autosave file, all the smoke effects that had accumulated over the course of the game (I was more or less on the last turn) dissapeared. Not sure whether the numeric smoke effects were in play or not (was speed playing through with the battle details off) but the visual smoke effects definitely were all cleared and the game started putting new ones in as the last turn progressed.

Yes, this happens to me whenever I load a save. Wasn't sure if the effect was gone, or just the visuals.

Hmm... Set to pull the trigger this morning and I read this. If true needs to be fixed ASAP. Almost a deal breaker. Would need to be able to save and return a lot because of lack of time to play at long stretches.
