release hotfix
first patch
patch hotfix
multiplayer patch
modding tools released
download community patch
download several gigabytes of 3rd party addons, half of which cause constant crashes
spend a month doing nothing but optimising your game setup
AMAZING GAME!...when does the next patch come out?
(Of course this isn't a dig at C:MANO, the strategy game that has rendered my entire collection of strategy games obsolete - I HADNT EVEN PLAYED SOME OF THEM YET YOU £$^^&^RS! - this is a dig at "normal" games)

Yeah, but there are also positive examples of nowadays games like CMANO, "Wargame: Airland Battle", "Kerbal Space Program" and many more...
Besides, in nowadays some Developers selling Game without graphic for more than 90$[:'(]
