i march all my reinforcements to there start position, either around or in the fort before the Federal's arrive, hopefully .

while i'm still moving my units in to position i see the Federal units approaching and the first shots are fired.

we both seem to be moving as quick as we can but i may just have the edge on speed as the ground it better for me than them, they have harder terrain to travel through.

more than a few units are now in place, so some alter into line and i have altered some brigade orders to hold for some, while others are still in march and column

with most places now taken in the forts defences i hold the upper hand and make the federal's pay for the land in front of the fort, which they must traverse to take it

seems the Federal's are trying the left flank as well as a frontal assault.

with Jeb Stuarts cav units protecting the right flank i feel almost ready for what is coming, with Hill's Brigade in and around redoubt 7, with Pickets men on the way to reinforce them

the federals bring up more guns to attack the fort, these i must deal with before the rest of there infantry arrive, look at the numbers, 25k to my 13k, 2 to 1 odds isn't good but i do have the better ground so i hold

they probe the fort, a single unit wont make much of a dent, so i'll soon send that packing

more units build up on the left flank, so that is where they attack first in strength, i'll send out scouts to see what's there as my reinforcements for that sector are still moving into position.

the left flank attack goes into a faint as they change direction to attack the fort in stead

i'm almost fully in place now, so can cope with either flanks or a frontal assault and will make them pay for any forward movement, but they do have better weapons and it's still raining which make mine worse as well

2 attacks at the fort, and probes to the left flank, no need to move men or units as yet, all are in line and with skirmishes out and in brigade hold orders for now

while i re position some units, and move some for a rally, i can feel the pressure building so i know they are still reinforcing as they don't have the strength in numbers and guns as yet to fully push me out the fort

i see more units now and see a steady line of troop moving in front of the fort and left flank, right is totally silent atm

i move the last of my reinforcements into line and all is now set up for the off

as the pressure mounts, i have a attack planned and waiting of my own

they break through my lines on the left flank so i move in my reinforcements there to cut them off
