Hi, haven't played in a couple of years and decided to re-load the game and start playing again. Could any kind knowledgeable soul out there advise me of what patches I need to go from V1.00 (yes, the very first saleable version) WITPAE to current build. Some of the patches must be comprehensive so I was seeking which of those I needed rather than load every single patch from V1.01 onwards. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

The unofficial versions are a great addition, if you want to try them.

Da Babes is the one I use, or the BigBabes.

Thanks folks. Used a few of Andy Mac's mods a long time ago (the Iron Man ones - do they still work with this new patch?) Played a few Email games for about 5 - 7 years stretching all the way back to Uncommon Valour (last WITPAE one took two years [+] to complete, so that's why I have had a break!).

dr.hal - What do you specifically like about the Da BigBabes mod; it was in heavy development last time I played. Thanks for any info.

Oh no Tony now you have put me on the hot seat! I really like its focus on detail and trying to approach a better reflection of the real Pacific theater of operations. I like the reduced cargo concept and other features to take the wind out of some surrealistic abilities that both sides can achieve given the normal WITP AE rules.... It slows the pace of operations down to a more realistic level. However for those that like fast action and big bloodbaths, maybe not with this mod. Hal

in addition to the 'official patch' mentioned above, there's the 'unofficial public beta', available in the 'tech support' sub-forum here, which you should install after the patch.

It creates its own sub-folder in your game dir, & does not overwrite any 'official' files.

The latest 'official patch' is pretty recent and may be more current than the 'beta' so I'd check as I don't think you'll need the 'beta'.

Thanks gentlemen, seems to be patched and running OK (selection screen version reads - "version 1.7.1124 - Dec 25 2014 12.59:11) Is that correct?

I saw one of the comments here and am confused. Did the latest official patch cover everything that was in the Betas? I know there are some other things (Babes), but if playing 'vanilla' the latest official covers all the betas, right?

The latest official patch was released only about a month and a half ago:

and is supposed to have incorporated everything from the betas.

That link up above shows the latest Matrix Update dated 16 Mar 2015. V1.01.24
