Welcome to the Order of Battle Tech Support forum.
If you are having an issue with the game, please try and follow these posting guidelines to enable us to most quickly solve it.
* Always start a new thread for a new issue
* Please include the version and build information seen top left on the initial loading screen.
* Provide details of your machine (operating system, CPU, video card) - sending the DirectX diagnostics as explained below handles all this for you.
* What problems do you see. E.g. which screen you are looking at, which buttons did you press to repeat the problem. How does the game go wrong.
* A Directx Dialog file - see below for instructions on how to generate a Directx Dialog file.
How to get a Directx Dialog file:
1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. open the text file, copy the contents, and post along with your issue.
and btw, Myrddraal is a developer same as Lukas, while i'm just a humble member [;)]

Can you post your DxDiag file as Zakblood explained, as well as your options.dat file? The latter sits in the "<documents>\My Games\Order of Battle - Pacific\Settings" folder.

I'm having the crash issue as well. I've attached (I think) my dxdiag; there's nothing in the options.dat file though.

Hm quite a powerful PC you have there. Hardware limitations should not be the issue then...
Can you see any pattern in when the crashes happen? For example always on end turn, or after playing several turns and/or scenarios consecutively (without restarting the game).

Hasn't happened since the second one, though I've only played the Pearl Harbor scenario and the first part of the next battle in the US campaign. It's not a critical issue obviously, but I'll keep an eye on it
BTW, and I'll post this elsewhere, labels on the map would be great. Telling me I need to hold San Fernando or whatever doesn't help if I don't know where it is. Unless I'm missing a label toggle somewhere?

Next time you see a crash, could you grab the log file and upload it here? It is called output_log.txt and sits in the Order of Battle - Pacific_Data folder in the game's root folder.

It seems that the game is installed in your external USB drive.
Please try installing in your local C drive.

Your graphics card driver is also pretty old:
Driver Date/Size: 5/10/2012
Try finding an update. That being said, an integrated Intel graphics card is never ideal for playing modern 3D games.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search ... phics+4000
Display Memory: 1696 MB
Dedicated Memory:
64 MB
Shared Memory: 1632 MB
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory: 10240MB RAM
so more than min spec needed, but shared ram can cause game errors, check event viewer in windows for error logs to be sure..
first update driver, see if that helps, then check bios settings for options regarding shared ram use, but as you only have 64mb dedicated, you don't have the option to disabled the shared, as no game now days would work either.
And because it's a laptop you also don't have the option of changing cards either i'm sorry to say, so can't help with that.
after checking models, there is a few, your's with intel etc,
The models differentiate themselves in terms of CPU with different Intel processors and different graphics solutions, from integrated graphics only (Intel HD Graphics, Intel HD Graphics 3000, Intel HD Graphics 4000) up to dedicated Nvidia graphics (GeForce 710M).
the last one would have made it more of a gaming laptop i'm sorry to say, with first two use manly for business use only
