Possible Strat Move Bug

The Allies have just captured Rangoon. But there are still enemy units at Rangoon, so I know that a unit there in strat mode will not be able to move out. I want to move a unit (Southeast Asia HQ) from Prome to Moulmein by strat movement, so I put the unit in srtat mode with a destination of Magwe. The intention is that it will use strategic road movement to that base, and upon arrival there I will set the new destination of Moulmein and the unit will use rail lines that bypass Rangoon.

When I did that (set destination to Magwe), the unit indicated a movement direction of SE out of Prome, which is the rail line to Rangoon, instead of E for the road to Magwe.

It seems like the path isn't accounting for the fact the the unit in strat mode will not be allowed to leave a base with enemy present.

The attached save is 'before', and so does not show the orders I mentioned.

Yes. It's Southeast Asia HQ, a British unit.

Good question!

I had units, Aussie units, Strat move via rail up to and thru a base with both mine and enemy units in it, Rockhampton I think, up to Carnes. I have also had a unit doing the same move stop 5 or more hexes from the base with mine and enemy units in it. Must be a possession thing....GP
