Is there something on the map that shows an entrenchment level after you have set units on entrench a turn or two? I may just be missing an entrenchment level, and I'm not real clear exactly what the benefit of units actually entrenching is.

So am I right to think that you must be using one of the two(?) units in the Manassas scenario who start with the "Diggers" ability? If so, the way it should work is that after a period of time -- I can't remember if it's a single turn or a bit longer -- there should be a graphic on the hex edge they face that looks like piled up dirt. These will never be elaborate defenses, so much as something that can be done quickly during a battle (i.e., "hasty entrenchments"). So I do not believe that there are levels, though if it takes more than a turn there would be an unfinished vs. finished.
Does this match what you're seeing?

Yes, I figured it would take awhile to entrench and I didn't know if there was actually any benefit defensively for doing so. Those guys are fatigued now and I got REBS!!! I have Beauregard's entire army about to assault that little brigade, and my evel side that's Union, stationed it there while the rest of the army went to take the objectives further west. If the Rebs break thru they will push to Centerville and cut McDowell off from Washington.
