Mission Planning - Arrival times

One of the things in UV that I think is missing is the availability of a unit arrival time at a designated destination. For instance, when I send a TF to a certain destination, I know it is going to get there(unless sunk) but I don't know when it will arrive. I know I can try counting hexes, but for every ship or TF that I move in a given turn(and keeping track of each one) it is a very tedious procedure. I would like to see a field in one of the masks that would provide a time that the unit will arrive at the destination. One place it could be is the unit mask right under the red/green number that currently displays range info and whether or not a unit can make it to that hex. This is mainly for naval units, but it could be useful for ground units too. I think it would enhance mission planning and setting of rendezvous. It just seem like it is a vital piece of information that is missing.

Good Idea! Hopefully it can be implimented relatively easily.

On a similar note, I'd like to see a tool for estimating distance implimented. Having played countless hours of Harpoon I find it odd that I can't click on two locations to find the distance between bases in UV.

An excellent idea I'll second the motion!

D@mn! Someone posted this idea before I got a chance too. ;)

I would like to see day to arrival listed somewhere as well. Perhaps next to the destination hex field. And I would like it in half day increments: i.e. 3.5 days, etc. Certainly a very important planning tool that is missing.

Excellent Idea

A very simple idea that would be of great benefit. Makes you wonder, "Why didn't I think of that?" Would be much better than the WAG method I usually use. Oh, looks like that TF will get there about Tuesday.

For those not privy to the WAG method, it stands for Wild-@$$ Guess.
