I just installed the latest patch and now the game fails to start. Regardless of whether I use the game menu or the quick
start menu I get the same thing; the screen blinks multiple times and returns me to either the game menu or the
desktop. I've never had a problem running the game before. The log file contains a failed to create device error
in application (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL) message.

I'm running Win7 64 Ultimate with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 card.

The log file is attached.

Any thoughts?

Problem solved. I went to the configuration settings under game menu, clicked "apply" and now all is fine. [:D]

I'm glad you found a solution, because I'm not sure I would have. I'll have to try and remember that for future.
