i've noticed that surrendered units aren't listed in the end of turn casualty reports. and the manual says units can surrender voluntarily to avoid impacting victory points. that doesn't seem right, it should have a significant impact on victory to capture a unit.

I agree that surrendered units should be included, in some way, in the casualty figures.......I've played a battle where 2,000+ men surrendered and saw no real benefit from that......good game BTW.

The benifit is indirect, they don't count for the casualty VPs but lower the enemy morale, and when it breaks is game over.

I agree that would be nice to see how many men surrender though.

Yep, I like my body counts. I guess they are afraid it will skew their VP multiplier.
